How payment works

Deposit: Fixed-price work: 50% when the agreement is signed and the first draft begins, 50% on completion, before final handover.
Custom systems: Systems, mobile apps and larger custom websites are priced by agreement, with milestones in the project agreement.
Revisions: Design packages include two rounds of revisions.
Currency: Prices are in USD. Local payments are accepted in TZS at the exchange rate on the day of payment, by bank transfer or mobile money.
Running costs: Domains, hosting, app stores and subscriptions are paid directly to the provider and are not part of my fee.
Ownership: On final payment, the design, content and code made for you are yours.

Questions

How do payments work? For fixed-price work, 50% when the agreement is signed and the first draft begins, and 50% on completion, before final handover. Systems, apps and larger websites follow milestones in a signed agreement.

Which currency do you charge in? Prices are in US dollars. Local clients can pay in Tanzanian shillings at the exchange rate on the day of payment, by bank transfer or mobile money.

Are the prices fixed? Prices marked “from” are starting points. The final price is confirmed in a written quote after a short scoping call.

What are running costs? Domains, hosting, app store accounts and subscriptions such as Mailchimp. You pay them directly to the provider, and I list them before you commit.

How long does a website take? A static website takes about two weeks. A custom website with a CMS takes three to four weeks once content is ready.

Do you work with clients outside Tanzania? Yes. I work remotely with clients in East Africa and the United States, with regular updates across time zones.

What happens after launch? Every build includes 30 days of free bug fixes. After that, support is available monthly or at hourly rates: design USD 30, development USD 40, consulting USD 50.

Will I own the work? Yes. On final payment you own the design, content and code made for you. I may show the work in my portfolio unless you ask me not to in writing.

Do prices include tax? No. VAT and withholding tax are added where they apply.
