The challenge

The first prototype felt overwhelming. Staff needed a simple tool for bookings, payments, expenses and refunds, with clear limits on who can approve what.

What I did

  • Bookings, payments received, supplier payments, expenses, refunds and reports
  • Refunds above a set limit need a Manager; the Accountant sees why
  • Permissions checked in the domain layer, not only by hiding buttons
  • Double-entry ledger and audit log, in TZS and USD
  • PNR paste parser and Amadeus-shaped data, so the real API can plug in later
